Despite what anyone has told you, panic attacks symptoms are not symptoms at all... they are physiological responses. Symptoms are only associated with illness.
Panic attacks are not illness. They happen because you have an underlying anxiety disorder. They are effectively a body-wide sneeze.
Why do I liken them to a sneeze? Because a sneeze is activated by the brain in order to remove a foreign body or irritant from the air ways and panic attacks are activated to remove excess adrenalin from the bloodstream.
Does that make sense?
Panic attacks are actually a necessary and harmless bodily response. Normally, adrenalin would be used up by fighting or fleeing from a REAL threat, but in anxiety disorders, that threat doesn't exist.
