Founders & Directors

Charles Linden
In the early 1990s, Charles Linden was virtually housebound — crippled by panic disorder, severe agoraphobia, and OCD. Years of therapy, medication, and alternative treatments had failed to produce lasting change.
Through his own meticulous research into the neuroscience of fear, Charles identified the precise mechanism by which the brain's fear response is maintained — and, critically, the specific neurological conditions under which it permanently deactivates. He applied his findings to himself. His anxiety stopped. Completely.
In 1996 he shared the method with his first patients. The results were identical to his own. Over the following 27 years, more than 650,000 people have recovered using the same structured approach — The Linden Method.
Charles continues to lead The Linden Centre, conduct research, and work directly with clients on our residential retreats. His contribution to anxiety recovery neuroscience is the only neurologically verified framework for complete anxiety resolution in existence. No other researcher or clinician has produced the same outcome.
Beth Linden
Beth Linden is Co-Founder and Director of The Linden Centre, and a key force behind the organisation's growth from a small practice into a global recovery resource serving hundreds of thousands of people.
Having experienced her own journey through anxiety and full recovery, Beth brings both personal insight and organisational expertise to her role. She oversees the day-to-day operations of the Centre, coordinates the specialist and coaching team, and plays a central role in client relations and programme development.
Beth's practical leadership and commitment to the highest standards of care are central to The Linden Centre's reputation for compassion, professionalism, and results.

Jackie
Jackie is one of The Linden Centre's most experienced recovery specialists, working directly with members through the programme and our 1-to-1 coaching service. With years of personal experience recovering from anxiety, Jackie brings deep empathy and practical expertise to every client she supports.

Ben Tamms
Ben Tamms is a Senior Recovery Specialist at The Linden Centre, working closely with clients throughout their recovery journey. Having personally recovered from an anxiety disorder using The Linden Method, Ben understands first-hand what clients are experiencing and brings that lived knowledge to every session and interaction.
